Bablake Primary School asked us to create an enterprise day for their young people. We tailored our Music Enterprise Day for all of Year 6 to take part in. The students worked together in teams to create a new band, with production, finance, and marketing departments.
Our Solution
The production department wrote a song and recorded this in the studio to create a CD. They even performed this at the end of the day to their teachers and friends! The marketing department created a name and identity for the band, and produced a logo, flyers, and posters to advertise their upcoming gig. The finance department kept the spending in order and worked to a budget for putting the gig on and also produced marketing materials to promote it.
The young people had a great day, and our staff were really impressed at how much they managed to do in only a few hours. The quality of the music they produced in the studio was excellent, and their creative talents were demonstrated well with their brilliant logos and posters. The teachers that joined them for the day enjoyed themselves too, and some of them even lent their vocal talents to the songs!
We thoroughly enjoyed working with these very enterprising and creative young people and will be looking out for them as the new Simon Cowell soon!
